RPS BOT




The localisation is not a trivial problem of mobile robotics. The robot must localise itself, having merely a map of the environment and sensor readings. This is a base knowledge that robot must possess in order to be able to complete higher level tasks like path planning. This simple robot is designed to be able to follow a black line on the ground without getting off the line too much. The robot has four sensors installed underneath the centre part of the body, and two DC motors drive wheels moving forward and reverse.


A circuit inside takes an input signal from the four sensors and controls the speed of wheels’ rotation. The control is done in such a way that when a sensor senses a black line, the motor slows down or even stops. Then the difference of rotation speed makes it possible to make turns.
